Mohammad Bagher Zeinali was born in 1978, Ardebil. He started learning music by playing Santur. In 1999, while studying his bachelor of Painting in Tehran, he went to Siamak Aghaei to learn the Radif of Mirza Abdullah and techniques of Santur masters. Later, he went to Madjid Kiani to complete the lessons.
Gradually he also learned Setar, Kamache and Oud. To acquire the skills of playing Setar and Kamancheh he went to Farshad Tavakoli and Shahriar Jamshidi respectively. Playing oud is a self-taught ability of Mohammad Bagher. In 2013 and 2014 he played several parts of the Radif of Mirza Abdullad by Kamancheh for Ali Akbar Shekarchi.
Since 1999 he has played in several ensembles which are established through the efforts of young musicians of his generation. The result of his years of music activity has been performing in various concerts in different cities of Iran and other countries including Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Algeria, Pakistan and Turkey, aiming for introducing Iranian traditional music. Moreover, he has played a part in several music albums which are published and distributed by leading publishers such as Mahoor Institute of Culture and Arts, Roudaki Foundation and The Arts Club (Hozeh Honari).
Mohammad Bagher Zeinali is now engaged in music performance, teaching, musical setting and recording in his personal studio (Hoorahang). In 2018 he established Hoorahang Ensemble.
