TehranTimes: “Tanhavash” to compete in Finnish, U.S. festivals
TEHRAN – Iranian director Fathollah Amiri’s documentary “Tanhavash” will compete in two festivals in Finland and the United States.
The film, which tries to trace the Iranian cheetah, the sole survivor of the extinct species of the Asian Cheetah that still remains in the country, will first be screened at the Wildlife Vaasa Festival scheduled to be held in the Finnish city from September 28 to October 2.
It is also scheduled to compete in the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival, which will be held in New York from October 14 to 23.
The producers of the film, Majid Mohammad-dust and Fathollah Amiri plan to attend the WCFF to promote the documentary at the event.
The Vaasa festival will also screen the Iranian films “Sky Is Not Empty” by Yaser Talebi, “Lonely Lake” by Mohammad Ehsani, “The Wind Suddenly” by Edris Samani and “The Other Color” by Iman Asgari and Sadra Sepehri in various sections.
